WATCH: Joy Reid Slams Conservative When Asked if She Stole Trump’s Haircut

Recently, conservative activist Ben Bergquam engaged MSNBC host Joy Reid outside a New York City courthouse prior to the Trump trial. Bergquam implied that Reid exhibits symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), a term used to describe an irrational disdain for former President Donald Trump.

He approached Reid and inquired, “Joy, do you believe individuals with Trump Derangement Syndrome are aware of their condition?” Reid appeared taken aback by the question and retorted, “You’re an idiot.”

Bergquam then made a comment regarding Reid’s hairstyle, likening it to Trump’s iconic look. He further asked, “And as a second question, did you take Trump’s haircut, or did he take yours?” Reid responded emphatically, “You’re a f**cking idiot!”

Bergquam persisted, stating, “That’s a cultural appropriation haircut right there. She didn’t appreciate that too much. Joy Reid, everyone. Trump Derangement Syndrome in full effect.” He later shared the encounter on X, captioning it, “EPIC video! Just caught Trump-Deranged, Cultural-Appropriated-Hair, Joy Ann Reid as she was heading into the sham Trump trial in New York City! I don’t think she appreciated the questions!!! P.S. MSNBC is #Fakenews!”

The American Tribune has also reported on other developments concerning Joy Reid. Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) criticized her remarks regarding his race and political stance. Reid had suggested that Donalds was merely a figurehead for the MAGA movement, stating, “The one Black guy that Republicans love to roll out as fake proof that Black people, the Blacks, are MAGA, they’re MAGA. It’s a joke, and just as credible as when they said they were going to make that guy Speaker of the House.”

Donalds addressed these comments during a later appearance on Fox News, stating, “I find Joy’s comments to be nothing more than crabs in a barrel. Just because I have a different viewpoint, a different way of looking at the world, different politics, now, all of a sudden…”

Donalds elaborated on the growing discontent among minority communities regarding the current state of America under the Biden administration. He remarked, “The gathering was notably diverse, featuring individuals from the Bronx, including Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Black individuals, and White individuals, all united in their support for President Trump, as they have witnessed the turmoil affecting New York City.” He further asserted, “They have observed the chaos that has befallen the United States due to the ineptitude of Joe Biden, and they are eager for Donald Trump’s return.”

The GOP representative emphasized that Republicans aim to be more inclusive of all Americans rather than alienate any voter demographic. “Our goal is to broaden the political landscape, not to constrict it based on race or other factors, which is precisely what Joy Reid, Joe Biden, and their allies intend to do,” Donalds stated. “They seek to limit the political landscape based on outdated ideologies and racial divisions… This is not the priority of President Trump. His focus encompasses all of America.”
