“Island of Misfit Toys”: Trump Border Czar Pick Trashes “The View” [WATCH]

During a broadcast of “Hannity” on Monday, November 11, Tom Homan, who has been appointed as the “border czar” by President-elect Donald Trump, addressed assertions made on “The View” regarding the potential deportation of American citizens under the forthcoming Trump Administration’s mass deportation strategy. Homan emphasized that the administration’s primary objective will be to secure the southern border, while asserting that the co-hosts of ABC’s “The View,” who had earlier claimed that U.S. citizens could face deportation, are misinformed.

Ana Navarro, a co-host on “The View,” remarked, “You realize, I mean, it’s chilling what he just said. You realize when he says, ‘Yes, families can be deported together,’ what he is saying is, that U.S. Citizens can be deported. What he is saying is, if the parent is undocumented and they have U.S. Citizen children or U.S. Citizen spouses, and you don’t want to separate them, then let’s deport the U.S. Citizens.”

In response to a question from Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity regarding the possibility of the Trump Administration deporting U.S. citizens, Homan firmly stated, “No, exactly not. Look, ‘The View’ is such an island of misfit toys. They don’t know what the hell they are talking about.”

Homan further explained to Hannity that the administration’s focus will be on addressing public safety and national security threats, asserting, “President Trump has made it clear we will prioritize public safety threats and national security threats first. And that’s what the focus should be.”

He elaborated on the significant issue of criminal illegal immigrants, stating, “There’s over 1.5 million convicted criminal aliens in this country with final orders of removal that we’re going to be looking for. There’s thousands of gang members, illegal alien gang members we’ll be looking for.” However, Homan cautioned that other illegal immigrants should not feel secure, as they too could be targeted.

Homan remarked on the so-called “sanctuary states” that have declared their intention to obstruct deportations, stating, “I observed today that numerous governors from these sanctuary states are indicating they will intervene. They should either assist us or step aside, as ICE is prepared to fulfill its responsibilities. We will remove the restrictions imposed on ICE by the Biden Administration and allow them to perform their duties effectively.”

In his comments directed at “The View” and President Biden, Homan continued, “Let me reiterate this to ‘The View’ and Joe Biden. This administration pledged to focus on criminal aliens as their primary concern, a commitment made by Secretary Mayorkas. However, I reviewed the statistics today, and the removal of criminal aliens has decreased by 74% compared to the Trump administration. We currently have a higher number of criminals than ever before. There are ample targets available, and the personnel of this new administration will actively seek them out, including in sanctuary cities. If these cities refuse to cooperate, they should step aside. I am prepared to double the workforce in those sanctuary cities. We will carry out our responsibilities regardless of the political landscape, so prepare for our actions, as we are coming.”
