Federal agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) recently apprehended approximately 50 undocumented immigrants during a raid on a nightclub early Sunday morning, targeting the notorious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua in Colorado. This gang has gained significant attention during the Biden administration due to its expanding influence in various American cities.
Reports indicate that agents from the DEA Rocky Mountain Field Division collaborated with the Denver offices of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) to focus on what was characterized as a “makeshift nightclub.”
The DEA disclosed that the venue, situated in Adams County, was allegedly an “invite-only” location frequented by numerous individuals associated with the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang. Images released by the agency depict many undocumented immigrants in handcuffs. One announcement noted, “Drugs, weapons, and cash were confiscated in Adams County. Nearly 50 illegal aliens were taken into custody.”
The DEA Rocky Mountain Division shared details of the operation, stating, “#DEA and federal/local partners executed an early morning operation at a makeshift nightclub in Adams County. Drugs, weapons, and cash were seized. Approximately 50 illegal aliens were apprehended by @ERODenver, many of whom are linked to the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang from Venezuela.”
Conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, posted footage of the raid on X, commenting, “The DEA, along with other federal and local law enforcement, conducted an early morning raid on a makeshift warehouse nightclub in Colorado targeting Tren de Aragua gang members. 50 undocumented individuals were arrested, and firearms, drugs, and cash were also seized.”
This operation in Colorado coincides with statements from Tom Homan, the Trump administration’s border czar, who has committed to executing mass deportations of undocumented immigrants, especially those deemed a threat to public safety in American communities. The American Tribune has recently highlighted the “significant national security concern” that has emerged from this situation.
Homan stated, “President Trump has consistently emphasized, as I have from the outset, that the focus will be on threats to public safety and national security. As highlighted in previous discussions, our nation is facing a significant national security challenge.” He further remarked, “The Southwest border has emerged as the most critical national security vulnerability in our country. This sentiment is echoed by FBI Director Wray. We are aware that there are individuals within our borders who pose a threat to national security.”
Regarding the threat of terrorism, the border czar remarked, “There has been a record number of arrests of individuals on terrorist watch lists, reflecting a staggering 3,500% increase in such arrests at the border. Additionally, we have over 2 million known individuals who evaded capture. We understand that 2 million people crossed the border without being apprehended, vetted, or fingerprinted.”
