White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confronted reporters during a press gaggle when many persisted in shouting questions at two officials from the Trump administration. Leavitt participated in the gaggle alongside Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz at the Stakeout Location in front of the White House, where they addressed various foreign policy matters.
As the reporters’ loud inquiries made it difficult for Waltz and Witkoff to respond, Leavitt stepped forward and admonished the media. “Gentlemen, please. Let us conduct ourselves as adults. They are graciously offering their time to respond to your questions. There is no need to shout at them like children,” Leavitt stated.
On Tuesday, Leavitt garnered attention when she announced that the initial flights transporting illegal immigrants to Guantanamo Bay were officially “underway.” In an interview on Fox Business, she informed host Stuart Varney that President Donald Trump was serious about his initiative to deport violent illegal immigrants from the United States and return them to their countries of origin.
“He will no longer permit America to serve as a refuge for illegal criminals from various nations around the globe,” Leavitt asserted. “Venezuela has also consented to repatriation flights, and Colombia has agreed to assist with the repatriation of illegal Colombian nationals found within our borders,” she continued. “I can also confirm that today marks the commencement of the first flights from the United States to Guantanamo Bay carrying illegal migrants.”
Leavitt further commented on New Jersey Democratic Governor Phil Murphy’s recent suggestion about accommodating an undocumented immigrant in his residence. The governor has since retracted his statement regarding inviting an illegal immigrant to live with him. “I will emphasize that this administration will hold Democratic governors and leaders nationwide accountable if they violate the law, harbor illegal aliens, or if they…”
Leavitt criticized the mainstream media on Monday evening for its derision towards President Trump and numerous conservatives during the peak of the COVID pandemic, particularly when the president and others suggested that the virus originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. Her remarks followed the confirmation from Trump’s newly appointed CIA director, John Ratcliffe, that intelligence supports the theory of the virus’s lab origins.
“The Biden administration, years too late, had an opportunity to inform the American public about the truth regarding this matter, yet for some inexplicable reason, they opted not to,” Leavitt stated during a recent White House press briefing.
In an interview with Breitbart News, Ratcliffe addressed the inconsistencies surrounding this issue. “I am aware from discussions with the president about his priorities concerning foreign threats to America’s national security, with a particular focus on China,” Ratcliffe remarked. “One of the key issues I have frequently highlighted is the need to confront the threat posed by China on multiple fronts, which ties back to the tragic loss of a million American lives and the CIA’s inactivity over the past five years in assessing the origins of COVID.”
“That is a priority from day one for me,” he continued. “I have publicly stated that I believe our intelligence, scientific understanding, and common sense all strongly suggest that the origins of COVID stem from a leak at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. However, the CIA has not made this assessment, at least not publicly. Therefore, I will concentrate on this matter and ensure that the public is informed that the agency will no longer remain passive.”
